SLR, Tablet and Wayside

Hey Everyone!!
I hope I can post more as I have edited a ton of photos that have been sitting around on my desktop for a while! This time I will show what I recently have been playing with a a recent visit to Wayside!
I hope everyone had safe travels for the Thanksgiving holiday and that they filled themselves with Turkey. If you don't celebrate the holiday that is all good because I am sure I ate enough for you guys! How about some Black Friday sales, did you go out and get anything or how about cyber Monday?
Anyways, when I was at my grandparents, my grandfather has let me borrow his SLR camera.
It Is a Fujica AX-3 (1980) and it came with a few lenses and other equipment to take care of the camera. Everything is in great condition as well! I managed to scramble up a 6volt battery to run it and also some 35mm film that my grandmother uncovered. I have gone out and taken some photos with it once I got a hang of the lens and such but I wont be able to tell you guys how it went until I finish the roll of film and find some place that still develops film XD Only ten pictures have been taken and once the weather clears up I hope that I can get out there for more photos! down below is two images of the camera it's self!

So on Black Friday I went out around 4am to check at Best Buy for fun with my girl friend and asked if they had anymore of the Asus transformer e PC that they had on the front of their ad. 10 at the store for $249.99 and they opened at Midnight. Yeah I figured that there was going to be no more left but heck, there was one more! So that is what I got and only that over all the week's savings. Shown below, this thing is pretty handy. I can use it for books and doing some school work on the go. Also manage the many accounts that I do. Camera on the front and back and you can get a keyboard docking station for like $150-$100 and it's like a thin laptop. I didn't get it but I probably plan to eventually. I will use this as a main computer sources for my commuting as carrying a large laptop like the new one that I have, this saves room in my back pack, it's fast and reliable with Android 3.2, and is light! I recommend getting it and the easy docking station for the extra 8 hours of battery power. I don't know if you can come across such a price that I got for a while and I got the 16GB version which is fine by me haha

Photobucket

So I went by Hanover wayside on Saturday! It wasn't for to long and I didn't take many photographs in the woods since there was a lot of overcast even though it said partly cloudy/sunny. I did mostly walking and it was pretty nice, except for the quick shower on me haha.

Photobucket

Lots of fall foliage has fallen apart now from the falling rains and wind that has stripped away the leaves from the trees...

Photobucket

Even though fall has fallen and the peak of it has past a while ago there are still those plants that cling onto their green-hood like this forest floor in the woods.

Photobucket

I hope everyone enjoyed the fall colors and I really wished I took more photos of nature on the nice sunny days, but I guess Winter days wont hurt. Bring the Snow!!

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!

Hey everyone!
I had a good thanksgiving at my grandparents house in Maryland yesterday and the traffic couldn't be any better!
I'm keeping this short because I'm using my new Asus transformer tablet that i got at 4am this morning at best buy. I am using the blogger app that is right on the desktop so i can quickly make a post just like this. Still getting the hang of it but il have many useful things for it to do for me since im out all the time. I got about a 10 hour work day ahead of me so i will be off until i get more photos up or just anoth another typical update!
See ya!
P.S. I am posting this now...even though I posted it on Black Friday...Th reason it is late is because I posted it to the wrong blog, muhahahah!! anyways another update coming soon

Kristen Stewart Offered ‘Akira’ Female Lead?

Kristen Stewart Offered ‘Akira’ Female Lead?:

Oh my gosh..... I really REALLY am starting to get tired of the actors offered roles to this movie. I made piece with Kaneda's actor but if she is playing Kei it just isn't going to work out for me. I really don't know her acting ability and it isn't the best in all the twilight movies and I really don't think she can play Kei, a very strong willed independent movie that is kick ass!
I'm just saying....this movie is so butchered....

Working...or so I thought

Hey Everyone!
It has been a while since I have done a normal little update on the blog. I have be busy posting photos if you could tell recently! I got p part 1 and 2 of camping with my father and also some photos from Maymont. I have more to come this week from Maymont as well but I figure I would make an update since it has been a while.
So, I went to visit my girl friend this past weekend for a bit, it was nice to see her for a while as I wont see her till Thanksgiving time I bet which isn't to far off now.
Oh I ordered Inheritance last week on Amazon and I have started it already, can't wait to reach the end.
This coming weekend I have Skyward Sword (Zelda title) releasing and I will be slaving away on my Wii playing that so I am planning on finishing my book before then or all hope is lost haha
School is cracking down now, got about a month or so before the semester is at an end. I might have typed about this but this next semester was suppose to be my last at VCU because I would be graduating but it seams that a class sin't going to be offered and I might have to wait a semester or two to finish. It is kinda dumb (actually completed dumb) that I have to wait on VCU's watch and graduate half a year late because of one class. Other then this it might make my spring semester less stressful...but of course  it might cause a hold on my career opportunities. I hope when I apply to places in the spring for a job that they will considered it rather then throw out my application because I don't have my B.A. in Environmental Studies all because of one class that is holding me up. Speaking about jobs, the part time job that I have had for 4.5 years now is going to end. The landowner wants a shit ton for a new lease that the owner just wont fork up because he wouldn't be turning a decent profit. They worked out some deal but the landowner backed out and said that you can go higher if you will pay this. So my last day of the store staying open is December 17th... My part time job ends right at the end of my semester. I now gotta look for a new part time job (besides my internship) and work over break and throughout next semester as well. I might keep it during a full time position in the Summer (after my Japan travels).
I have some stressful stuff going on at school like papers and multi test happening this week. Been trying to focus on studying for them because I have to pass or it is more retakes and my GPA can't drop any lower as well.
I have a place in mind for the first half of my Japan trip and I have everything else laid out of what I want to do except for maybe visiting people! I need a place to stay in Tokyo now and then all I need to do is get traveling insurance and also flight tickets and that is about everything that I need to get in advance before departure. Perhaps a new camera or video camera. Who knows. If any one knows of good traveling insurance to get for 23 days of travel abroad and also great places to stay in central Tokyo then PLEASE comment.
I think I am addicted to watching T.V., I would be studying Japanese or other materials more if there wasn't some many things on this season that I follow grrrr.
Midna is doing great, she is still trying and failing at catching squirrels.
Umm I can't think of anything else that I can currently ad right now so next will be more photos of Maymont (that is the plan) or maybe around the house or something type of photos. I'm probably heading off to Maymont now since work has run down today at the internship.
Catch ya later!

Maymont on November 1st!

Hey everyone!
So I went to Maymont back on the 1st of November and I also went the 3rd so those photos will be next!
I enjoyed my time there like every time haha. Not many people on the 1st and the sun was a bit down as it was around 3:30-4PM when I went. Anyways enjoy the photos.

So the pine trees in the Japanese garden has been losing some of it's needles and they land in the pond and running water and cause that skim you see on the top of the water. You can actually use pine needles and boil some water and make pine needle tea. I hear it's bitter though but maybe not as bitter as some teas I have had.

So many needles...

Photobucket

Some flowers in the Japanese Garden's were blooming out...hmm....

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

From the recent rains I guess the water fall was on full wash that day. It looked great and had a great flow about it. the sound of water falling is something to behold!

Photobucket Photobucket

I really like this a lot, I think I might make something like this.

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

There is a path on the back side of the Gardens and I really feel like it doesn't get much love. I had never seen anyone on this path over here when I come and it really is a part of the gardens and what makes the gardens so fantastic!

Till next time!!!!

Camping in Shenandoah National Park -Fall '11 (Part 2)

Hey Everyone!
So back with post number 2 of my camping trip then you can look forward to photos from Maymont!
If you didn't read Part 1 click here or click the link on the side.
So this takes place a day later then from the first post, so this is Sunday!

So I took my car out of the camp site to let dad heat up some water so I could get the sun peaking over the mountains as it rose from its slumber.
Photobucket

Shenandoah Valley was blanketed in a fog that was so aw looking. I thought snow had fallen all over but it was that mornings low fog that covered everything below the mountains.

Photobucket

Sun peaking over Loft mountain behind me and touching the next mountain ridge on its crowns...

Photobucket

Here is a panoramic view for you guys, click it to get to my Photobucket and view the original

Photobucket

Our first hike was Bear Fence which has great views and its a decent short climb with rocks to climb over and you better watch your footing on some of them haha.

Photobucket Photobucket

I have no clue why this photo is all squeezed but click it and find out what it is!! It is a really cool formation and it is actually the trail!

Photobucket

The bluffs are great for views up there and it is a unique trail up there

Photobucket

Photobucket Photobucket

The trail has some slight climbing on rocks like this right below. I like this trail not for the views but it is also not a usual trail that most are up there.

Photobucket

See! The view is great up here!

Photobucket Photobucket

Loved looking at this evergreen how it has been shaped from the rocks and the winds!

Photobucket

More squished photos.....anyways it is people that I past from the path. That is the best view point on the trail

Photobucket

The moss and the trees and all other nature up there is great to view. Just stop and take a look why don't cha!

Photobucket Photobucket

Big Meadows again! Once again clear skies for the second weekend in a row!

Photobucket Photobucket

I had my hike boots this time and don't have my dad or girl friend so I ventured deep into the marshy areas of the meadows and found some wildlife, vegetation and a water hole!

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Dad called me over to two deer just laying in the meadow relaxing away from all the visitors. I accidentally provoked them to get up when I got close (4 feet :P)

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

At Big Meadows Lodge past the camp ground and such there is a secret gem! There is a walk up a VERY short trail to give you a great view! Take a look below

Photobucket Photobucket

Last stop with out my dad was Dark Hollow Falls! I love this trail and this is the second time in one week!

Photobucket Photobucket

Lucky me there wasn't many people on the trail on the way down so I was able to get some photos!

  PhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I had a good ten minutes of no one near the falls before people started to pop out EVERYWHERE. I enjoyed the short time I had alone with the falls. there was no one climbing all over it or people huddling around the pools down at the bottom.

Photobucket Photobucket

Water coming from a water fall has a unique characteristic about it that can draw me in and just be straight up mesmerize to me.

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I hope to get back soon to the mountains! Hope you enjoyed the photos!
