Almost at fall break

Hey everyone, sorry that I have yet taken pictures to post recently. Blogger just had to update something earlier but I think they are done with that since I posted a lot of pictures on the hobby blog earlier today. Lots of things happened at the 50th All Japan Hobby Plastic Show the past weekend. Lots of stuff that made me place pre-orders for.

I did get my paper done and turned in today. I hurdled that major part of finishing it, ow that is left is editing. Unless he says redo the paper I should be fine. I got my Tetnus shot done and apparently the next open spot to get the cat fixed is December 10th so I will call the back and let them know that I will do it then. I was informed that our usually pet place we go to is like $160 and the place that I called is $35. That is a big difference......yeah

I am in my pollution class right now. Got test back, I did ok I guess.

It is a rainy day so I stayed in and opened up a new model, well technically the model was from 1994 but it was still sealed so I just opened it up today. I am going to really try to increase my skill with modelling. I would get an air brush but for a good one it's like $60 or more and then the air compressor which is like $80 or more. I might be able to find an old air compressor from some one, maybe my grandfather or some place and just get a cheap air brush for like $20. Then I can start to not using the spray paint cans.

For now, tomorrow I will go to the hobby shop and buy like $20 worth of painting supplies. I have one model that is waiting to be painted and then the bigger model that I just opened today.

So, I have been thinking about why I do the models that I do. I have gone to different series other then Gundam now but it is always fantasy. I look at jets, rockets and tanks and cars of the current and I just can't seam to get into them. If it was a car from a series that was special and really cool with rocket boosters in the back or extend-able bat wings I might consider it but really I hardly do automobiles either. I can't get into arm/navy vehicles either. Gundam I enjoy because there is something about it that is interesting. A mechanical vehicle that is shaped like a human and has arms and hands. It's basically like a large robot but one day we could get to that point. Zoids are really cool to, but I don't think we would ever make a weapon that is shaped like a bison or a dinosaur, but something about it is intriguing and awesome. Its a good feeling to get a passion like this. Even the idea from a series that you enjoyed a lot like One Piece, to see Bandai make a plastic model of Luffy and his ship its cool and it awesome to replicate that epic scene from the manga or anime or show, etc. It's fun to, its not always series modeling. It's fun to show off the series on your shelf. Ballin'

Anyways enough about that lol

I am finishing up the first series of K-on!, it is a pretty funny show, kinda cute. Thats right I said cute. No other way to explain it. I can see it pointed to younger people, girls, some guys who like watching cute stuff. I don't mind the silly girls trying to put together there light music club after school. The first series of it is 14 episodes anyways.

Anyone enjoying House this season? The Event? Hawaii Five-O? I am enjoying them all haha. Parenthood on NBC on Tuesday nights is funny to watch also haha. I suggest watching some of it!

I keep on checking...yeah still not up...I keep checking on Naruto and One Piece manga chapter release but still no update quite yet. I can offer the one shot Bankara, from the author of Gintama which is funny. I have yet read this one shot but it's worth a read if you like the author of Gintama

I put up a teaser trailer for Cars 2 on the Movies page, and another trailer for Harry Potter as well. Just look for them up at the top of the page where the newest stuff will be.

Just a little bit of movie stuff for you. I believe Paranormal Activity 2 comes out tomorrow, get the chance to see it. Please post on the most recent post on the blog and tell us how it was, was it worth it and if it was better then number one.

From what I hear, Netflix is doing so great that they are going to test out a new plan. Online streaming only. That way you don't have to have DVD's come to you, just paying to stream movies online to your TV, Wii or laptop. It will be cheaper then the other plans though. Supposedly it has been tested in Canada for about $7.99 and is popular. Also now you don't need a disc for Netflix on your Wii. Go to the shopping channel and download a Netflix channel for free. Of course you have to be a paying member of Netflix but now you can just pull it off the home page of your Wii that much easier. Sweet. I downloaded it a few days ago, but I am not a member....lol

Paper Done

I finished my paper earlier today! Yeah me! Also I got me tetanus shot done and my last shipment got in with my figure and models! Ballin! I will get new photos up but Blogger is having maintenance done so now photo uploads for a bit! I am tired so I am going to hit the bed

Akira Hardcover Vol 2 & 3

Hey everyone, I recently won on Ebay Akira volume two and three of the Hardcover English editions from Graphitti Designs.

Akira was originally published in 1988 in the United States through Epic comics which is a part of Marvel Comics. This was a colorized version that ran in 38-issues and ended in 1995. Steve Oliff was the one who colored the series and was hand picked out by Otomo himself (author and artist of AKIRA). Mr. Oliff even used computer coloring after persuading Marvel and it became the fist on going comic to ever get the computer coloring. It was fantastic coloring by him and was a marvel.

I got number 1436 of 1500 of volume Two. Number 780 of 1500 for volume Three.

Delays in the publication were caused by Otomo from retouching the artwork for the Japanese version and that is why there were delays in the end of the serialization for the Epic English version so it took a few years to publish those last 8 issues.

Marvel then planned to collect colorized versions as a 13-volume paperback series and teamed up with Grapitti Designs to release six limited-edition hardcover volumes but the collected editions ceased in 1993. Of these limited edition hardcover's only 1,500 were made of each volume (1-5).

The final 3 paperbacks and the sixth hardcover never got published......Later on Dark Horse Comics picked it up (Titan Books in UK) and printed out six volumes in paperback version which are actually hard to find today. This publication was printed in black and white, not colored.

I now have three of these hard covers, volume 2-4, I lost the bidding for the fifth one on there. I have volumes 2 and 5 of the dark horse and have the Barnes & Nobel version of volume one which is a hardcover but it is black and white. Volume six is a hard one to find but you can see it for buy it now on Ebay for $70 or so which is a lot for me.

I am happy that I have the few 1-38 Marvel Epic comic run in near mint condition. If you have not read Akira and just watched the movie you really should take the time. It is a fantastic series especially if you can see it in color. I love the art (as you can tell).

Economics paper has taken over my Time!!

I am at work now currently and working on paper! That's right that stupid economics paper. I have about nine pages of writing well ten actually with my introduction and about 8 pages of appendix and then my reference page. I think I have plenty of pages but I still need to review another article for it. I might condense one of the other articles (the first one) since I probably did to much info on it. That way I wont have a way too long paper. Ballin'

It is due on Wednesday! And then I get my second economics test on Wednesday also! My first test was a shoot and miss >_> sucks

This weekend was fun since my girl friend was in town. Great weekend with the down side of not getting anything done. Oh well catch back up time!!!

I'm going to get a bunch done today so I can watch my House, The Event and Hawaii Five-O tonight and then maybe more writing afterwards. Who knows.

I am getting my tetanus shot tomorrow the one they forgot to give me. Smooth doctor's. I probably should give P.A.W a call soon to set up an appointment for Midna since I need to fix her. Plus I need to call about maybe getting her more shots since she is half a year now.

Then I need to go by a CVS and get a passport photo and then set up that appointment soon so I can renew my old passport if I want to go anywhere you know. I also need to oil change my car, clean my windows on the car, and then need some paint at the hobby shop, clean out my room a bit and probably something else. As you can tell I am not doing anything exciting for my Fall break this Thursday lol

I preorderd another model that is released in December. The link there is to the Hobby Blog which I actually update a lot more then this one recently but that is because there has been a lot going on over at the Hobby Show in Japan so lots to talk about. I would preorder something else due out in December but the places I go to already has stop the preorders from the sheer amount of preorders that they got, darn would have been a good price too!

I finished Last Exile Anime and now I will finish up the first K-On! series followed by K-On!! lol.

Anyone following One Piece and Naruto manga on the Otaku page? It is getting really good.

Speaking of Otaku, I can't wait for Nekocon, my girl friend will have fun I just know it. It's always something fun to look forward to, its exciting! AHH!

Well I better get back to work, at work, even though it's school work that I am going back too lol.

Oh and did anyone hear or read about Google car's? They set up a program where it drives the car without a person. Some people are against this because it will make people lazy. I disagree since you pretty much sit the entire time you are in a car anyways so we are lazy regardless. Plus I drive about, well today I will drive about 1.25 hours or more. That is a lot of time to drive and I could have been using that time catching up on an episode or more importantly finishing up my paper or last minute cramming for a test. if you think about it, tons of people use up tons of time driving. Think of all the extra time you would have if you didn't have to drive. Thats a lot, especially for me when I commute to the city for school and commute to the other side of the city for work and commute to my girlfriend which is the furthest. Just fruit or thought people. Look it up and read on the article. I think it would have great applications but it might kill the Taxi industry, or at least people driving the taxi's. Future is coming I can smell it.

Ghibli's Arrietty Film Watched 7.5 Million Times

According to Anime News Network which I just checked up on, it seams that Arrietty, the most recent film that was produced by Studio Ghibli has now been viewed over 7.5 million times since its release this past summer. That is a first time for a first time director. Miyazaki wrote and planned this film but did not direct it. It is the fourth film that has come out of Ghibli that was not directed by Hayao Miyazaki or his mentor. The other's are Whisper of the Heart, The Cat Returns and Tales from Earthsea (directed by his son). All great movies, I just can't wait to see Arrietty since I loved the Borrowers as a kid.

Hey everyone, how are you all?

My sister is back at school officially yesterday, thank god. We all went to the Shenandoah National Park on Sunday and I got some shots, the best I could do, with my camera. Good stuff. It was a perfect day to go hiking to because it wasn't to cold nor to hot and it was a clear blue sky and hardly a wind up there. Fantastic. The Maple trees are already on the change up there but some of the oaks and other trees are behind on changing color so if you still can I would head up there to enjoy it. I think I might go back again on my break and stay a night next week which would be great. I might start writing when I am up there or just model after I feed myself lol Can't play cards by your self haha.

I still need to get this economics paper done I got about 5 or 6 pages out of the way which is a good start. I have a test tomorrow night in my politics class! AH!

My girl friend arrived today i nthe afternoon but I have yet to see her. I can't wait though, I miss her. She was sick earlier this week and it got bad :( I was sad especially when I couldn't do anything about it since I was two hours away. BLA!

She is feeling a lot better, just a couch thank god but I wont kiss her muahah she might not like that but hey, I don't want it myself.

I haven't posted in a while not since Friday I guess but I did like three posts that day so that makes up for the lack of them this week :) I finished up my God Gundam model although hit got smudged.. what a pain. I also ordered some new releases and even re releases, I talked about it on the hobby blog earlier this week. That blog I have updated this week already.

If you have noticed, I got rid of hte Following page because it was the same thing for ever, Nissan Leaf. So I deleted the page but I saved the file in my documents so if you wanted to read it and missed it just let me know and I can post it on the main page for people to check out. I know I added a video to the online video page Friday if you haven't looked lol I still watch that cat trying to jump through the box and it makes me smile hehe. Watch it :P

So this costume, Captain Jack Sparrow Deluxe costume, that I bought two Halloweens ago with my discount I got it for $24.50 when it is normally at $35. I just sold it on Ebay "USED" with shipping included for $40. I made money off a used costume...am I good or am I good? I am good lol

I need to editi and work on posting up the Mountain pictures soon and there are many other things that I need to take care of like updating my tetanus vaccination before the sign up of Spring semester or they wont let me do it. Also I need to finish my reapply application for my second passport which is $110 and also need to call to get Midna (kitten) fixed since it is that time and she runs around way to much out side. That will be about $35, yeah thats right $35. Great deal at P.A.W. I think off Cary Street. I also need to take car of an oil change for my car. I have probably gone over 2 or 3,000 miles from when I was supposed to get it changed. I bought my 5 quarters of oil and a filter today for a oil change deal at Advanced Auto for about $18. That is a great deal considering each of those quarts of oil are $4.49 each. I saved like $10 today when I bought stuff from there, thank god.

Still, besides the occasional model and upcoming Nekocon, I have at the top of my list to get is a camera. You all know I need a camera, especially if I am going to go to Japan this summer to farm work.

Need to save for sure.

I am in my Pollution class right now and I think I have missed everything he said in the past little bit, darn I feel bad.

Oh, I finished up Zoids Chaotic Century a fews days ago and so now I am back to Last Exile which is really good but the video quality is really bad has blips and stuff on the screen and can't see.

Well, I am going to head out now and try to take some notes! Have a good night!

Oh and we got a new guy closer to my age at my internship, got to get to know him better. Will inform how it goes!
