Why would you block regulations to regulate greenhouse gases? Is it because it would cost money? Do the senate like to breath that nice smoky air? Do they like to ruin our ozone? Do they like the fact that the ocean is rising because of the ice caps and glaciers are retreating? Do they like the increase in the heat? Is that what it is? Who the hell offered this homo a spot in AKIRA live action movie!?!?!

Excuse my speech and language but when this movie was brought up with Leonardo Dicaprio a few years back when I was in high school I said maybe then the project changed hands to the script writers of The Book of Eli. Now I heard that they were great writers and then now this?! I hope it is a rumor and it probably is best that they just leave the movie/comic/manga series alone as is and not ruin anything else that was a classic. This article says that he was offered the the lead character pretty much which is Kaneda who is on my wall....This is quite annoying. The fact that they are going to make it a PG-13 film still ticks me off because the who manga and original story is definitely Rated R.

So with this "rumor" of him being offered. I say hell no. Not a good fit for the actor. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And by the way I am back from Nekocon 2010 and will try to get the tiny amount of photos that came out alright this coming week.

New Camera

So the surprise the other day was the fact that I got a new camera! Now I will be taking more pictures when the weather is better and I start to play less of GoldenEye which is addicting so far. I will not be posting for a little bit these next few days as I will be at Nekocon ad with my girl friend. Good weekend!

Hmm I can't think of anything else really to inform you guys about. I took a test yesterday and I am not to sure how well I did and I just completed a multiple choice section of a test on-line and missed one which is awesome. I'm still trying to figure out my school scheduled for next semester but not really sure what I will be able to get. I'm surprised that such a big school as VCU doesn't offer Japanese as a Language but I can take Arabic, Hindi, Zulu and such. What is up with that? I don't know crazy.

I am finishing up the last Harry Potter book for the second time since it's original release. I am really excited to see the first part in theaters but I have to wait till my girl friend is around to go see it which could be as late as December after the semester :(

Oh which reminds me but I happen to lucky get the same spring break as her so maybe I will be able to plan something really awesome with her if my mother isn't planning something for the family.

Sorry about not updating the movies page in a while but I haven't really been roaming the nets the past few days with video games and reading and these test and school and work and planning for the weekend and so on and so forth haha. At least look forward to pictures of Nekocon next week when I get the ready to post.

GoldenEye 007 for the Wii

So this wasn't the surprise that I was originally talking about but none the less something awesome that I picked up.

GoldenEye was redone and released for the Nintendo Wii. I got the exclusive golden classic controller bundle with the game. It was extra obviously but so far it makes it pretty fun.

Here is the front and the back of the box for the exclusive golden controller

The openeing of the box on the left and on the right the contence of the box. You get a instruction paper for the classic controller of course and next to that is a little paper with an exclusive code to unlock a game play mode for multi player. Next to that is the game case still wrapped in plastic and then beside it is the exclusive golden controller to portray the "Golden Gun."

Here is the golden classic controller. It is very nice and shinny :) Wonder if a rich person ordered this game and special ordered the controller to be solid gold. Probably not since I would have seen it on the net.

I had enough time yesterday between school and work to play a few hours including last night. The game is different then the original on the Nintendo 64. This game is pretty fun. The control scheme is still a little different from the 64 controller. During the actual game play you have check points through the levels. I think there are more levels then the Nintendo 64 one and a little longer. There are more cut scenes and lots more dub talking in this game. I played only a little bit of the online multi player and it was fun. You can increase your level and points on the multi player over time which is really awesome. People last night were already at level 5 and you could tell that they probably played it all day long. Lost more multi player maps to play with friends and online. There are different game versions like you only live twice and golden gun for multi player as well. I feel like this is a game that you can play over and over for a long time like other fist person shooters like Call of Duty and stuff.

I recommend it for first time or from previous owners of the Nintendo 64 version. Tons of fun. Well, I'm going to go now to play more, have a good afternoon!

Halloween is over, now on to November

Hey everyone, as you can all tell it is November 1st. That much closer to Thanksgiving, the end of the semester and Holiday times!

This past weekend I worked a bit but I actually had Sunday off from work and so parents and I went to Carter Mountain which is an Apple Orchard. It was fun even though I really don't eat apples. Weird right but I love apple cider, their apple doughnuts, apple sauce, apple cobbler and apple pie. Just not straight apples haha.

I took pictures yesterday and just need to edit them and I will post them on here and also talk about Carter Mountain and maybe it's history if I can find some :)

I got a surprise for you all! I will tell you about it tomorrow or the day after!

I am currently reading Harry Potter 7 again. I started on the drive to the mountain yesterday and now am currently on page 290. Good stuff, I can't wait to see these last two films but I have to wait on the girl friend to get in to town to go see it with her. I don't think she will be back home till December or so :(

I am going down to see her Friday because we are going to Nekocon! Exited about that and I think she is to. Probably more on the part that she gets to see me but I think she will have a good time and she put together a costume: Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service. I feel bad because for a bit I got busy last month with a paper and work and I was going to make a Studio Ghibli character costume like Howl but it is to complicated to make in the few short days I have. I also really like to take photos at these kind of events but if I do wear a costume like No-Face from Spirited Away then there will be no photos that I will post for any of you to see. Sorry :( I do really want to take photos but my girl friend wont dress up if I don't dress up from a Ghibli film. I do have a costume that is not related to the studio but she said no so guys. I'm sorry but there will be no photo taking at the event since I will have to rely on No-Face. I would even wear my Waldo costume there since I can carry a bag with the costume but I don't think she wants me to wear that either. So maybe the next convention in August or the year after since I wont go if I end up going to Japan this summer.

Otakon has a page up in memory of Satoshi Kon, a director for many productions like Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers, Paranoia Agent and Perfect Blue. He died from Pancreatic Cancer. Here is the page here

I am currently at my desk at work and I do have some work to do! Ha. I am still annoyed with this keyboard though and thank god I brought my own wireless mouse to use or I would die.

Oh! and how was everyones Halloween?! No one came back to my house for candy and this is the second year in a row. It is sad and I don't even know if there was anyone in our neighborhood actually out last night. I hope there were because it was so much fun when I was younger and it was legal for me to do it haha.

One last item is that I added a donation button on the right at the bottom. I did that since I have been looking for a camera and also been trying to cover reviews on newer items on the hobby blog. Any amount helps as I use it for the progress of the site and for travels that would be photographed for talk on this site. I wont use it for myself in anyway just for the sole purpose and furthering this site that I enjoy so much. Thanks!
