Sanmon of Nanzen-ji temple - Kyoto, Japan

So at Nanzen-ji Temple that have a huge Sanmon which is one of the three largest in Japan. It symbolizes the three paths in Buddhism liberation. This one is not the original, which was constructed in 1296 and destroyed by a fire. This one was built in 1628 by Todo Takatora, in the Zen style with a roof of baked clay tiles and has five pillars and three entrances. The gate is 22 meters high and you can go up to the second floor for a view of the grounds.
Here is my ticket to go up inside, the stairs are really steep so look out.

Ramen in Japan 2

I for one absolutely miss Japanese Ramen, true authentic stuff and not the instant noodles here at home. It was always pleasing to eat and was filling. Does this not look awesome?

Yokohama China Town

My travels in Japan lead me to a day trip from Tokyo to Yokohama where you can find Japan's largest china Town and also the largest China town in Asia (which I didn't know). It has a history of 150 years and there still lives Chinese there. It still has 250 stores at least and is really interesting place to go to.

This is the goodwill gate that was built and established here for people to come and go.

Pepsi Next & Space Brothers

I found that a lot of drinks in convenience stores in Japan would sometimes have collectible phone straps/key chains with them. I tried Pepsi Next from a Family Mart and I got this strap with it! It wasn't till after this that I watched Space Brothers and have enjoyed it. I still need to finish it though! Anyways thought you might find it interesting!

Small Temple in Kita-ku, Kyoto

I was staying it Kita-ku, Kyoto while I was there and I have looked all over for the name of this small temple. I do not know what it is, I found it on Google Maps (you can check the location link at the bottom of the post) but can't read the Japanese of it. This was a few blocks from where I was staying and I just happened to come across it. Anyway's enjoy!

Gundam RX-78-2 Coffee Mug

So while I was in Japan I had to stop at the Gundam Cafe and ended up going to the one in Akihabara and also the one at Diver City next to the Life Size Gundam. I picked up Gundam RX-78-2 coffee mug and love looking at it. I use it mostly for tea but recently I let it sit on my desk with a Gundam standing in it. I also picked up a rubber cup coaster since I love collecting those too!
