5,000 Page Views!

Well, according to Blogger, I passed 5,000 Page views either yesterday or today for the blog!
Now this I think started counting since they did the Stats on Blogger which was about mid-summer last summer so technically it isn't including Feb-till then last year but I am glad regardless.

So I will say happy 5,000 Posts!
Thanks for those who friend requested the Facebook account, I haven't been updating as much as I said that I would be. I haven't linked my blog articles there in a while either lol
I have constantly updated the Figure and hobby page on Facebook though.

I am glad some people come to enjoy The Life of Samshio...
Most days range from 20-50 page views a day and I hope those of you enjoy what you see. I have been taking more photos recently!

I am happy with the growth of the Figure Blog that I only started this year. It grows a whole lot every Month since it's start in Jan. with 30 page views the entire month and Feb with 415. The Figure site just passed 5,000 page views just two days ago or yesterday and the Hobby blog passed 30,000 back on the 17th.

Glad I can support your interest and glad you can support my interest of blogging. Seeing these numbers make me want to post more as it is inspiration that people are reading!

Have a great day!

Writing

So I am starting to write again and this time it is a new story. Kinda based on a character design that I came up a long time ago (6 years idk) and this time it is a new plot and story that I hope that can intrigue readers. I will probably post the story on Wattpad, also as a heads up I added the thing widget or whatever it's called on the right side of the blog that links to my profile (Samshio is the name I use there, makes it easier for all haha).
Anyways, I am currently writing it right now and only got one page done in 20 minutes but that is also because I am still trying to think of exactly how all things came down to this. The entire plot and such. Once I get the plot down, I will make it up as I write. I hope once that I get the first chapter up which will be like 3-7 pages or something I am going to crank out a chapter a week I hope.
This is another thing I just want ot do for fun and because I like to write or I would have never made this blog in the first place.
Mind you, if I happen not to get a chapter out a certain week, it is summer pretty much. I will also be blogging like crazy on all 4 blogs, taking 7 credits at school, two/three jobs, girl friend will be here all the time, it's summer therefor going places, and what ever else I might do. I make myself busy but I am happy so it counts haha.
Anyways, everyone have a great Easter for those who celebrate it?
It was a beautiful day as is today in Richmond although the temperature is getting high again. Father came home and checked the thermostat and noticed that inside it got to 78 degrees so we finally closed the windows and turned the AC on in the house. Feels a lot better. It is 88 degrees outside currently, well actually I don't know about now but before I left home to come back to school it was. I think the forecast says that Wed-Fri has rain or maybe through Saturday so that means I can't do any spray painting... Today was my chance at that but I was with my girlfriend before she had to go.

Anyone following The Event? Watching the new episode tonight? I am, if I get home in time.

Well seya!

Happy Easter- Spring yard shots!

So it was a nice looking day on Thursday and I kinda took more photos that I guess I will share with you. I know everyone is still waiting on those Spring break pics.... I have edited them it's just I take more photos and stuff and I also have the Circus photos from yesterday to edit as well.
On with more photos, you can click for a larger view I believe.

My driveway, nice and long and off the main neighborhood road. Set back in the woods of green. Peace at mind.

My lovely abode that is set in the woods

Figure I show off a few more of the azaleas. They are all bloomed now, every color.

These are new additions in the back garden and look pretty cool. Especially all the different colors.

A more up close photo and with light. We have the bleeding heart! I thought our white had died but it is really small and coming back. There was only one white one on it.

So I took a panorama shot from my roof of the back yard so you can get a good idea of what it looks like. There is usually more shad back there as some of the trees haven't fully sprouted leaves. Anyways, its home!

Walking around out side

Recently, like last week, I walked around the house and took a few photos before the sun had fallen behind the trees and out of site. It is mostly of plants.
Also more news, I am going to get out more of the Spring Break Photos, long over due lol. Also I started another blog, specifically for Otaku cultural things. So I will talk about news in the Anime world and manga and conventions and also cosplay. More will come of it as I have literally opened it up yesterday and only have one post and started to set it up. It's Samshio Otaku (go figure) so you can find it at samshiootaku.blogspot.com

Well one with the plants, enjoy! Oh an click on them for a larger view as well!

We have a lot of Azaleas, most of them my father had planted when they moved in or at least 20 years ago. Their colors range from 5 White, 5 Pink, a 4 violet purple look and 6 red.

We have a Bleeding heart and it looks awesome when it blooms, I wish the sun was more out but by the time I got to it a cloud was covering the Sun or it fell behind the hills of the woods.
Anyways, it is called a bleeding heart because the blossoms hang from the stem and open up and a white or pink colored bloom breaks through the heart shaped flower. So you get a bleeding heart. Great for those shaded gardens.

The Red Azaleas were the last to bloom of the Azaleas that I have noticed. This one is small because I got it for $4 at Home Depot and I placed it in a pot and I hope to bring it with me to where I move. At the time it was the only one that wasn't bloomed at the store but now it is finishing up.

Some of our pinks by the shed.

The dog wood blossoming off the trees are about just peaking now or just passing the peaking point and they look lovely in the city of Richmond. All of the ones we have, have been grown in the woods so it is rather hard to get to the blossoms, rather the ones in the city hang low since there are not other taller trees competing for light :)

Man, these things are FULL of pollen and I am pretty sure all that green pollen people see laying around or collecting on there cars are from this thing. Anyways, I took a really close up shot for you guys to get a better look.

Down in the woods where I call the "bottom", there is a lot of running Ceder and it generally stays humid and moist down there. I'd practically call it a wetland as it is sometimes and has the plants to prove it. Well some wood down there had some fungus growing on it. Lots of lichen grow on trees down there as well.

Some Red Oak leaves punching out to grab those rays of sun.

Now not only in the 'bottom' but all along the creek out back, we have ferns that are growing and there few different kinds.

More hydrology type plants

Cosplay Picnic at Maymont Park Photos

So yesterday I attended the Cosplay Picnic at Maymont Park's Japanese Garden and quite a few people showed up! I think the idea originate on the Cosplay.com forums and also a Facebook page was made for it as well. I helped spread the word to the VCU Anime Club and also tried to see if some Cosplay lovers over at figure.fm wanted to join in.
It was cloudy all day and was supposedly going to rain but the clouds held up pretty well. Only down side was that there wasn't that much lighting for photos but it still was better then moving it indoors.
The Japanese Gardens at MAymont set a perfect backdrop for our little gathering and was exciting to see people in the area with the same interest get out of the house on a cloudy Saturday! I much look forward to the next one, and I hope it is soon with the nicer weather that has brought us.
Anyways, I took plenty of photos and at the bottom I uploaded the video for the Dance (quality isn't that great)!
