Merry Christmas!!

Hey Everyone and Merry Christmas!
I hope everyone is waking up and enjoying the festivities with family or friends.
Did everyone get presents or at least time with loved ones?
Well below are some photos I took last night! I would have taken photos of the lights in the city but plans after plans fell through sorry, might be able to get there tonight though!

this is our tree, it is a little different shaped though lol

So I figured that I would give you guys an update on life now! I finished school with passing colors and will be set for next semester...the last semester!!
I helped my grandmother the other day in Maryland with her basement since she can't really lift things a certain weight. It was a nice visit to see them and my uncle and right before Christmas too!
I came back early since I had a job interview on Friday and I am set up for one more so it sounds like that I will get the job!
To bad for the no snow on Christmas though lol, and last night was a new moon! No moon at all but the sky was clear and the air was crisp.
I'm pretty sure that I will get out today at the park or something, probably wont be to many people out and such.
I hope everyone will enjoy their day!!!!

Cookies made from scratch!

Hey everyone!!
Time to make some Home made from scratch cookies!

They look so good don't they!?!?!?!
Photobucket

Ha, like I can do it from scratch, this is the way I role! I got hungry the other night for chocolate and sweet. I remembered that we had just bought this (and other cookie mixes) from the store and went to find it. I probably should have eaten the chocolate cake that was already on the counter though....

Photobucket

Hmm...1/4 cup of Vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons of water (more if needed) and one egg?
Cookies in 17 minutes?!?! I'm in this is so simple!!!!

Photobucket Photobucket

I need to start working out and this is what I eat....
This bag has 18 servings of cookies....!?!?!

  Photobucket

Ingredients are all set on counter, easy ingredients to get, pretty much always at the house. I also needed to get out two cookie cooking trays as I knew that three dozen of cookies was too much for one tray. To bad I poured them to large so I only had 27 cookies!

Photobucket

All in to bowl!

Photobucket

I needed more water to get it to mix just right, also I ended up needing something more sturdy like this spoon.

Photobucket

Yeah, don't make fun. I tried to pour these the best I could into circles on the pan. The right pan was the first try haha. I should have gotten another pan as they baked way huge!

Photobucket

Aww darn Sophie...did I empty the mix before you could lick it?

Photobucket

I know that a lot of people like the spoon or what not and the bowl after pouring batter for cooking sweets. Do you?

Photobucket

Oh, hey Midna what's up?

Photobucket

"I poured them on the sheet and they are cooking. They are not ready yet"

Photobucket

"You will have to wait, but I don't think you should have any..."

Photobucket

Oh my gosh they are ready!!!! I put them in for less time then the packaging said and they still were not gooey :( They were a little crisp

Photobucket

Now, do you have a glass of milk  with your cookies?
I know I do and I feel bad because there is hardly any left in the jug and its the last in the house...ops?

Photobucket

Do you, friends, family collect Box Tops to send with children  to schools to help raise money for it? We do, but for family and friends since I don't go to public school anymore being in college in all. What is a mind blow though is that this is a new package and they print this box top with an expiration date of 6/1/11.....>_>
That was awhile ago.....

Those cookies were great!!!

Lounging Kitties

Hey Everyone!
I have not done many posts on my cats at all! Whats up with me.
So this is my cat that I brought home last year on Father's Day. Her name is Midna and she is now about 20 months old now. She is still pretty small but that might change. She eats quite a bit of everything that you might try to feed her. I just had her eat corn and peas the other day and she loves any kind of meat. She is the type of cat that gets up in your business sometimes and thinks that she is the best hunting cat in the world. She really isn't.
 PhotobucketPhotobucket

She does love seeing people and smells them. She loves climbing things as she ends up on our roof often. It is a high roof >_>

Photobucket

I got her from a family friend that had a litter of cats. She was pretty much the odd one. Her mother was a calico and some of her brothers an sisters turned out that way. She came out black and white with a white spot on her back. They called her spot till I brought her home. They kept one of them themselves, which was orange and white and had no tail.

Photobucket

I'll let her go back to sleep now...

Photobucket

Sophie is a loaner. She doesn't interact with the company unless she is STARVING. She has an attitude and opposite of Midna. She is a little over 4.5 years old now and is 10 pounds. She is either sleeping inside or somewhere outside not in sight.

Photobucket Photobucket

She has the look that if you mess with her she will beat the crap out of you. So I'll let her sit there...

Photobucket

Her she is on my bed. Giving me the look, "why the heck you come in here and wake me up?" look

Photobucket Photobucket

Hehehe...I surprised her

Photobucket

Sophie is the family kittie as Midna is mine. They both are great to hold...sometimes.
Also Sophie only likes plain cooked Chicken for a meat. Wont eat any other meat..... severely different than Midna.

Hollywood Cemetery

Hey everyone!
I edited these a while ago but I will now show you my photos! I had some time between studying at VCU and visiting my grandparents so I went by Hollywood Cemetery to grab some photos with my camera and the Fujica AX-3.
It was a nice day when I went and a lot of people walking about enjoying the park/cemetery. There was even a Segway tour going on.
So Hollywood cemetery was built in 1849 and was called Hollywood because of all the Holly Trees in the area. Lots of notable people in history have been buried here including two U.S. Presidents, the only Confederate President (Jefferson Davis) and lots of Confederate Generals. Info from Wikipedia.org
I love a lot of the architecture there, some of the statues for burials are really well done and I enjoy looking at them. Large tombs, small tombs, burials marked with a huge angle statue, some marked with a brick. Lots to see there and if you live in Richmond you should go given the chance. Oh if it is your first

You can get a great view of the Richmond City skyline from the park.
Photobucket

Like I stated up above, there is tons of sculptures and statues all over the Cemetery, most are Angels or crosses.

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Some of the crosses are really well done work. This one stood about nine feet tall and had roses and vines carved onto it.

Photobucket Photobucket

This is a large cemetery and there is even another cemetery next to it. The roads that are woven throughout it can get confusing your first time inside. There are lots of hills as well.

Photobucket

Right down the bank is the railroad and yes it is still active. Also the cemetery looks out at the James river, we have had a lot of rain recently and it is probably over 5 feet its normal level.

Photobucket Photobucket

There is a lot of ivy within the cemetery and that includes poison ivy as well. Lots of large trees and new trees and of course the Holly trees that gave the cemetery its name.

 Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Lots of interestingly carved and designed head stones scatter through out the cemetery.

Photobucket Photobucket

I would have to say though that I mostly enjoyed looking at the different angels in the cemetery..

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

this is a panorama photograph, so click it to get it larger!

Photobucket

This might have been my favorite that I saw the entire time that I was there, it reminded me of some things that I saw in Ireland and the work on it was awesome!

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I left bad that she lost her hand. Probably done my vandals :(

Photobucket

Handing down a rose.

Photobucket

There were some tombs into the side of the hill with columns and exquisite masonry except for this one which had some normal brick and a metal door in the side of the hill.
