Nexus Two Phone By Google Promises To Deliver

Nexus Two Phone By Google Promises To Deliver

Will it? The Nexus One was for sale on Google's website for less then a year I feel...Almost as bad as the Kin 1 & 2 from Microsoft and Sharp.

Anyways there were a lot of things I liked about the Nexus One but I never got a chance to see it or know anyone who actually got it. Wonder what the second one will have in stock for us. Newer features other then Gingerbread OS of Android? I hope so, Google has been on a role for a while now. There mobile OS (Android) has been gain tons of momentum and is the hottest Smart Phone platform over Apples. Google just released there Google TV and I see commercials for it now. There search engine is still on top I believe and they have been fixing that as well. They always have good products I feel.

Anyways, I look forward to what ever else they got coming for us. I hope a really nice tablet PC that runs there android OS or something! Fruit for Thought!

Camera's Camera's what should I do?

Hey every one how are you?
As you can t ell from the title, I have been looking around online at cameras a lot today and was actually about to buy one except they went out of stock and it came with a free case >_> dang

Any one got recommendations for me for a camera $200 or less, that has good qualities outside and inside. I take close shots for my hobby blog so that is kept in mind. Thanks for any comments!

Now one usually comments on this blog so I will just keep looking around. I realized the other day that there isn't a Naruto chapter this week, ops. Oh well enjoy the other chapters.

My keyboard on the laptop at work is really bad and I have to slap the space bar to get it to work. It's annoying really. Actually I think I will stop writing it is that bad. Most of the keys are bad on here though. Some of them my fault. lol

I'll update this or do a new post later!

Tornado Strikes Mechanicsville - wtvr

Images from WTVR
Tornado Strikes Mechanicsville

This just missed me lol

Well looks like Sony might be putting a "PlayStation Phone" out there for people to get. Of course this is a leaked photo and might not be called a PlayStation Phone, but who knows. It has been a while since Sony has updated there mobile gaming device anyways since the PlayStation Portable Go.

Other bits of info is that Barnes & Noble is introducing their Nook color which is their popular book reader but in color!

Lime-wire is dead so I have heard. The government or who ever finally pulled the wire on the site.

Myspace apparently has changed its look and is more towards music, movies, pop culture and less social network since they lost that front (Facebook).

"The Dark Knight Rises" is going to be the third installment of the current Batman movies series. Hmm cool title or not?

Word says hear and there that there might be Inception 2? I loved the first one but should there be a 2nd one? They going to go 5 layers down in the dreams now?! Plus I think that is a movie that I want to get on DVD :)

Another word out there is that Indiana Jones is all going to be re-released in 3D. Go figure, to much 3D and not many 3D TV's have been bought out there.

June 10, 2011 is the release date for Super 8, from Paramounts. So want to see this.

I have yet to check if they have released the new chapters for Naruto, One Piece and Bleach yet but I will update that page later tonight when I get out of class >_>
I can't wait to read it and the month of October is almost over. Work will calm down at the retail job which means I might be able to post more on weekends and do more of my models and update my hobby blog with my own models. I spent about $20 at Hobby Town today for spray paints and enamel paints and tape. My models should be looking a lot better but you might not be able to tell since my camera is crap.
November is coming up with is nice, more then half way through this semester of school, got Nekocon coming up in two weekends, new model releases with reviews by me, Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Tons of things to look forward to people.

What are you hoping for the Holiday seasons this year? Post below and let my know!

Update: Just added the links for the new Bleach and One Piece chapters on the Otaku page

Shenandoah National Park Trip

Hey everyone, I like how I added Belle Isle photos when that was last week and didn't get around to placing the mountain day trip up first. Well here it is, I finished editing them a few days ago and now I have some time before I go to work tonight which we are now closing at 11pm >_>

On with the photos!

Back on 10-10-10, my family and my sisters boy friend went to Shenandoah National Park that are part of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Yes these are also part of the Appalachian Mountain range that is on the eastern coast of the US. My sister didn't know this and was wondering why the Appalachian Trail, also known as the AT, was called that. The trail starts, or ends, on Springer Mountain in Georgia and the other end is Mount Katahdin in Maine. This trail is about 2,179 miles long. Yeah that long. I have been thinking about maybe doing it but since it takes so much time I don't know if I will be able to until after I graduate from college. Grabbed that bit of info from Wikipeida.

Like the Nags Head photos and album, I decided to take another shot of my feet walking along the trails as the album cover. I might make this the norm lol

The park was full established on December 26th, 1935. The main road through the park is SkylineDrive and the highest point on the road is Skyland.
We entered at Swift Run Gap which is the second to the most south entrance. It is off route 33, also called Staples Mill in Richmond :)
Our first hike that we had gone to was Bear Fence which has some intermediate climbing to the cliffs up top. It is one of my favorite views on the park and it is rather not long to get to it.

Here is some plant and wildlife that we bumped int on the hike up. I didn't get to see any wooly bears like I use to but this caterpillar reminded me of them. The only other wildlife that you see tons of are Chipmunks. We usually are always guaranteed to see one deer or more but we didn't come across a single one at all.

Some rock formations on the trail

There is my shadow on the bottom right. This is at the cliffs up there. It is a nice view of the Shenandoah Vally down below.

In the far off distance you can see that other mountain range and at the end of in in the dark blue you can see Massanutten Mountain

Now a ton of people go to the park during the fall since that is the prime time to go see the colors change on the trees. When we went you can see down below where some of the trees are changing and some have yet too. I am sure about now or this past week was a great time to go since we were there just before it was perfect. If you ever get the chance go to the mountain range and enjoy the lush colors that are on the trail ground and on the trees and the wind blows them in the air.

Now the reason that they call it the Blue Ridge Mountains, part of the Appalachian Chain and starts in Georgia and ends in Pennsylvania, is because when you see them from afar you get this blue haze is from the trees on the mountains. They release isoprene into the air giving the effect of a blue haze. A lot of pollution from the Shenandoah Vally that is getting in the air is starting to effect the bluish haze and it might disappear if continued. Info here

You can also enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway that travels nearly 500 miles and links the Shenandoah Park to the Smoky Mountain Park which is also part of the Blue Ridge.

There was a private school that traveled up there that Sunday and was having a class right there on the cliffs. That is a shot looking back on them. As you can tell from the sky, the weather was perfect for hiking because it wasn't to hot o cold and there wasn't much of a wind. Perfect clear skies.

This shot is looking back from where I came. The trail that goes to the left and heads up was where the bluffs were. The loop trail uses the Appalachian Trail which is what I am currently standing on. The one that goes straight on is heading South on the AT to Georgia.

Our second trail that we went to is Dark Hollow Falls which is near Big Meadows. My parents dropped us off since my Dad can't handle the way back up because of his knee so my sis, her boy friend and I went down.
This is also one of the most popular hikes too since it is the closest water fall to get to from Skyline Drive.

You get to travel right against the creek that forms the waterfall tis self the whole way down. :)

Here is the top of the falls and looking down to the bottom

Most people hang out at the very bottom enjoying the spray and humidity and the cold chilly pool of water but I climb up along the side to get shots of the upper falls. Plus there is less people up there.

Add a bigger one :P

More of the creek

Next hike was Stony Man which is just North of Skyland Resort. Great hike with an amazing view and it isn't that long of a hike to the cliffs either. There wasn't to many people up there today which is fine by me. Some people were climbing up the cliff face and surprising a noticed a lot of Asian people on the mountains that day. They had way better cameras then me >_>

Love the look of this tree up at the top as the winds from the west bellow onto it.

Down there on Skyline Drive where most of the cars are at is the view point for this cliff. That is where my mother, sister and her boyfriend waited for my father and I's return. They were tried, my sister and him were sleeping when we got back down :)

For the last shot it is my father and I at the top. We got an Asian girl to take it for us. She had a Nikon camera but it was like $500 lol. Sorry I had to edit out my dad and I's face but it is the first official photo of my entirely other then my foot that I have posted on here. It was a nice time with dad and worth the one last hike. I love it up there truly and deeply.

I'll post the album on the Photo page, you can also click these photos and I think it takes you to the album on Picasa Web. I got to go to work now Night! Also all of the info pertaining to the Shenandoah National Park I grabbed from Wikipeida.

Japan's Largest Pokemon Shop to Open in Osaka - Anime News Network

Japan's Largest Pokemon Shop to Open in Osaka - Anime News Network

This is pretty awesome. A Pokecenter? Ballin' Entire store devoted to Pokemon goods in Osaka. They have a Union room where people can meet up for gaming against each other or for card tournaments. Well, if I decide to go to a farm near Osaka, maybe I will go by this store? Should I?

Belle Isle in Richmond

Hey everyone, I had the day off since it was break time. I got my car fixed and now it isn't being dumb and messing up because of the transmission. It did cost about $121 though. Runs great now and afterwards I fixed up some of the yard, re did my book self and then went to Belle Isle with my dad for a few hours. I brought the camera and got some good shots to. I uploaded it to the picasa web album and I will post some photos below. I will also include some history and information of the Isle its self :)

This is the walking bridge on the North side of the river that travels under the Robert E. Lee bridge. It is how you get to the isle.

Belle Isle is about 54 acres that is in the James River in Richmond, VA. It use to be called Broad Rock Island and was first explored by John Smith in 1607. It is now owned and ran by the city of Richmond as a city park so lots of people go there for recreation like biking, climbing, kayaking, or plain walking.

In the 18th century it was occupied by a fishery and in 1814 the Old Dominion Iron and Nail Company completed and nail factory out there. During the 1860's, it was inhabited by a village that had a school, church and a general store. This is something that I didn't know about till I just read it.

I thought a different color to the photo looking up the river would change the mood. I think it looks pretty cool. I wonder if the river looked a lot like it is today when the village was there. What do you think?

A couple were taking advantage of the 5 feet below normal sign where anyone can traverse the rapids with out a permit. They looked like they were enjoying themselves. Man I need a kayak.

This is a walk way over a spill way where they take in water for the power plant. Virginia Electric Power Company built and operated a hydroelectric power plant on the island between the years of 1980 and 1963. This is the original gate where they took the water to the plant out that is down river and I have photos on down below. It is also the walk way that many people use to get to the rock scramble on the South side of the Isle. Great place to go have fun.

My father has a bad knee so I was surprised that he said he would go out on the rocks today with me so he climbed down the ladder at the end of the spill way walk way. :P I had to edit out his face sorries lol

This is the rock scramble over on the south side of the Isle. Some more history. The island was used as a prison for Union soldiers during the Civil War and between 1862 and 1865 it was home to 30,000 prisoners of war and about 1,000 died there. After the war was over the nail factory re-opened and stayed that way till 1972. Here is a link to a list of soldiers that were buried on Belle Isle.

Riverside Apartments, one of the first high rise apartments in Richmond.

Some water squeezing on by

That over there is where the hydroelectric power plant is. It is empty as you will be able to tell in a few more shots.

Another shot of the old power plant. It had three turbines as you can see at the bottom of the building.

What the now inside of the Power plant looks like has graphitti on the walls. Stunt artist climb to heights and tag there gang name or a message.

Places where once there was a power generator is now empty space and hole where a rod came through.

Looking thought the hole of the above picture. Inside is where it housed the turbine that the water turned and the hole in the middle of the room is where the water would fall and then go under the building to the river on the other side.

I managed to slip through the little hole and int that room where the turbine once was.I took a picture of where I came though and my dad (who has the edited face in the hole)was looking through to make sure I didn't fall where the water use to fall lol. There was just a lot of debris there like wood, fence, trashcan, a chair and dirt.

Another spooky entrance to another abandon building on the Power plant grounds.

I am not sure what this building was used for. Maybe they ran power lines through it since there is ceramic tubes in the building in the walls.

Another old building on the Isle that is a few hundred yards from the power plant but this building is from way earlier. Maybe from the old village but probably from the civil war.

This is a photo of the Lee bridge (Route 1 & 301)The original Lee Bridge was built over the island like this one in 1934 and was replaced in 1988 with this one.

Skyline of the City of Richmond Virginia. The bigger building out in front is the Feral Reserve. There are only 12 in the country. Apparently 49% of the floor space of this tall building is underground.... awesome. Another piece f interesting information is that the same buy who designed the building itself also design the Wold Trade Center Twin Towers that went down on September 11th. Here is the link to the Federal Reserve information on Wikipedia

Here is another link to more information about the Civil War and Belle Isle's involvement in the affair.
All the other information that I provided I got from Wikipeida's webpage on Belle Isle

Down below I offer a map of the Island if you want to take a look and click on to find your way there :)

All of the images are mine! I hope you enjoyed them and it really is a great park. I hope that you get the chance to go and see!
